Welcome to the web site of the Mere Point Yacht Club located within the Mere Point Colony at the very tip of Mere Point in Brunswick Maine. The Mere Point Colony is a private property founded by Lewiston, Maine families in 1878. The Mere Point Yacht Club was built nearly 100 years later in 1972 and is a private yacht club solely for the owners of cottages within the Mere Point Colony and their families.

Sailing and social parties were the major activities in the early years in the Mere Point Colony hence naming the structure as the Mere Point Yacht Club. Today, sailing has taken a back seat to many other MPYC activities and has become the focal point of summer events for the owners and families in the Mere Point Colony.
